During the first week of school, one our first discussions was to set goals for our semester or just in this class. While I worked this out, I realized that most of these goals can be worked on in life as well.
General Goal: Take care of myself first
Specific goals:
1. Allow myself sufficient time by not giving into social media or unnecessary distractions
2. Eat properly and not resort to cheap easy foods
3. Keep surroundings clean (Mom always says the way you have your room is the way you have your life)
General Goal: Time management
Specific goals:
1. When I am not working at work or school, use my time wisely.
2. Put school before work
3. Find a balance between them both by not allowing one or the other take away from the other. Because as a college student I need money to buy food, supplies and necessities.
General Goal: Be open to different perspectives
Specific goals:
1. Allow time for others to say their opinions
2. Watch how I explain myself

Time ManagementThroughout my whole life, I feel as though I have sort of thrived off of knowing that a deadline was near. I could have all of the time in the world and sometimes I won't do work during those times until the very last minute. With online classes, my mindset has changed. There are deadlines everywhere and there is no way of getting a great grade If I don't produce especially if a deadline is very close. Luckily this time around I feel as though I have prepared myself more than my last online class and the grade in itself shows.

Self CareWhen I included self care as one of my goals, I remember getting a response and it kind of thew me off. I wanted to take the time to clear that up now. This semester is especially important because I am nearing the time I will be applying to transfer and because of that I have realized more stress on myself. All throughout high school and college especially I have heard people say that they could stay up all night and be able to focus the next time but that's not how it works for me. I know that in order for me to succeed I must get the right amount of sleep and take care of me first. If I don't allow myself time to relax I will be more stressed and that wouldn't help whatsoever.

Open MindedLately there has been so many situations where saying the wrong things or even not doing anything can hurt someone. I have been in a lot of situations over the internet where miscommunication can occur. That is why, especially in online classes, it is helpful to be clear on if something could offend someone Taking an extra minute to reread wouldn't hurt anyone and it could actually make a person more credible.

Final Reflection
Throughout this semester I found myself following old habits but also creating new ones. I believe that I did a way better job on school and my time than last semester. I feel as though I really allowed myself to be selfish and I put school in front of work more. I balance out my priorities better. I realize that there are still plenty of times where I can miss deadlines and in all honesty, it because I was lazy in those moments. I was aware of what was due and I would be too reliant on time but I know I cannot do that anymore especially if I want to succeed. Aside from specific goals, this class took me by surprise. I say that because when I think of philosophy I think of questions like “Am I really here right now?” or “Is this real?” Obviously from being in this course I have crossed out all of those misinterpretations and have really been open to what we have been taught and also to what others opinions are. In this course I believe that is how it should be in order for there to be growth. Moving forward I will really take to heart what we learned about credibility, claims and arguments (I feel as though learning about them more clearly and specifically I have been able to approach arguments and differences a lot better ending with a better result), and lastly with the last assignment of watching The Persuaders video. As my major is communications and I love interacting with people, I am looking to go into marketing and advertising and it was interesting to see what tactics work and which ones do not. Overall I was surprised by this course and I appreciated everything I was taught, it definitely helps in our daily lives. Critical thinking will always be needed.
